Counselling
Creating change through supportive and confidential therapy.
Sometimes we need to make time to navigate the complexities of our lives. As your counsellor I will hold that space for you so you can figure out what may be holding you back from leading the life you want. I will support you to make the changes that move you towards a more intentional and self-compassionate life.
I offer a general counselling service with a specialised interest in:
Eating disorder recovery for individuals and their families
Body image and low self esteem
Grief and Loss
Divorce / Separation
Working through relationship issues
Menopause
Adolescent and young adults
ADHD support
Juggling the demands of work and home life
Transitioning into retirement
My hope is to provide a safe, warm, and engaging place that is free from judgement, expectations or pressure.
I will guide our conversations using an integrated approach of Solution Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). In our sessions you will gain some understanding of your behaviour, learn ways in which you can manage behaviour and work to develop solutions that are uniquely suited to you.
For clients requiring support with an Eating disorder or Disordered eating I can provide CBT-E , FBT and DBT support. I offer counselling for those in recovery and for families who are supporting loved ones through this process.
I enjoy collaborating with other health and wellbeing providers when appropriate. I am happy to work with your nutritionist, GP, or legal advisor to ensure a holistic approach in your recovery.

This varies with everyone. Some clients will start with 3 sessions then return for another 3 months later. I also see several clients monthly after intial sessions as a way of being proactive about their mental health.
